USMC CFT Calculator & Scoring Standards
Marine CFT calculator using the USMC CFT score chart: score movement to contact, ammo can lifts, and maneuver under fire, with altitude tables.
USMC CFT standards and scoring
Movement to contact, ammo can lifts, and maneuver under fire each contribute up to 100 points. Select your age, sex, and altitude table before entering results. Failing an event prevents a passing overall result.
PFT and CFT are separate assessments. Score the PFT separately in the USMC PFT calculator and consult the Marine source notes before applying any promotion rules.

Questions about this tool
What does the USMC CFT total include?
The total adds points for movement to contact, ammo can lifts, and maneuver under fire. Each event uses the applicable published age and sex scale. The tool also checks event minimums and the current class thresholds. Enter the grader’s completed performances, including any authorized penalties, rather than estimating unrecorded adjustments.
When should I select the CFT altitude setting?
Use the high-altitude setting when the governing Marine instructions authorize the altitude-adjusted scale for the assessment location. The tool selects the corresponding published movement-to-contact and maneuver-under-fire data. It does not determine the location’s elevation or approve an exception. Your authorized test administrator supplies the applicable assessment conditions.
Are the ammo can lift and time events scored in the same direction?
More completed ammo can lifts can earn more points, while shorter times can earn more points for the two timed events. The lookup handles those directions separately. The improvement panel therefore suggests additional repetitions for lifts and faster times for timed events, using the next published threshold instead of an interpolated formula.
Does a high CFT score replace a PFT score in JEPES?
The JEPES physical-toughness conversion uses the PFT and CFT as separate inputs. A strong CFT result does not turn into a replacement PFT result. Save or copy the completed score, then enter both applicable fitness results in the JEPES planning worksheet using the rank-specific published conversion table.
