Navy Body Fat & BCA Calculator

Navy body fat calculator for the June 2026 BCA: run the two-step waist-to-height and body-fat table check with Navy rounding and the 26% and 36% limits.

June 2026 two-step BCA. Step-2 values outside the published matrices require PRIMS.

How the June 2026 Navy BCA works

Step 1 uses waist divided by height. Height rounds up and waist rounds down to half-inch increments. The ratio is truncated to four decimals. A value below 0.5500 is within Step-1 standards; otherwise the tool looks up body fat using weight and height-minus-waist.

Step-2 limits are 26% for males and 36% for females. Values outside the published table require PRIMS, not an extrapolated formula. This current process supersedes older neck-and-waist tape workflows. Score fitness separately in the Navy PRT calculator, and compare other services in the waist-to-height ratio calculator.

Questions about this tool

What is the current Navy BCA sequence?

The June 2026 guide uses a waist-to-height first step with a strict less-than-0.55 standard. When needed, the second step uses the published sex-specific body-fat table based on weight and the height-minus-waist value. This replaces the older three-step description; a neck measurement is not part of the implemented current workflow.

How does Navy recording differ from Army recording?

The Navy procedure rounds height up to a half inch and waist readings down to a half inch, then applies its stated repeat-and-average procedure. The ratio truncates to four decimals. Army uses different height and averaging instructions, so copying an Army recorded measurement into the Navy workflow can change a boundary result.

Why can the Navy tool request an official lookup?

A weight or height-minus-waist combination can fall outside the published matrix imported here. The calculator does not extrapolate body-fat percentages beyond those cells. It identifies the need for an official PRIMS lookup instead. A missing table value should not be treated as either automatic compliance or automatic failure.

What happens when the first two Navy waists differ?

If the readings differ by more than one inch, the guide calls for a third reading and the closest pair is used in the recording process. The form reveals the extra field when necessary. Re-measure using the required technique; do not edit a value simply to force a preferred screen outcome.
